Write the Vision and Make it Plain
Hello everyone! I know, it's been a while. Life has been crazy, focus has changed a bit but drive is still in tact. What I've come to learn is that I'm more effective when I'm sharing and on tasks than when I'm out here rolling dolo. I've also come to realize that having where I'm headed before me helps me visualize the journey and helps my heart and mind plan for where I'm going.
I ask this question, if you can't see it can you do it? Well I'm a visual person and I need to see it. Although I'm a thinker I'm really action oriented and can't get caught up if (x then y minus my goal) kind of formulas for my life, I'm a getter done type of girl.
Anywho, you are here to write the vision and I will help you with that. There are several ways to plan for where you are going by just putting pen to paper and writing.
- Journaling: Through journaling you can collect your thoughts, jot down ideas and capture how you really feel as was as be specific about where you wish to head.
- List building: Have you considered keeping a list? Some people enjoy being able to check the box and move onto the next thing. Seeing the items on the paper becomes a reminder for what's to come.
- Vision Board: My favorite is the vision board or what I term the Victory Board. I'm visual and enjoy bright colors and thoughtful reminders of where I'm trying to go. I also like being able to display my goals and dreams so that it's a constant reminder of where I'm headed and not have it tucked away in a notebook or a piece of paper that can sometimes become out of sight, out of mind.
So while I believe that you can combine them all my best starting place is #3. Once you have solidfied where you want to go you can then elaborate through journaling and keep track using list.
